A Holiday Ball to remember: celebrating community and joy!

This year's Holiday Ball wasn't just a festive gathering; it was a testament to the spirit of our church community. What began 25 years ago as a senior high youth group initiative blossomed into a night of shared joy that resonated with all ages. Our young people shone brightly, crafting ornaments, decorating the hall, welcoming guests, and serving food with infectious enthusiasm. Their selfless dedication was palpable, and their immersion with the guests created a heartwarming atmosphere.

The energy in the room was electric! The band, amazed by the turnout last year, brought their drummer this year, confessing they'd never seen the hall so full and this year extending further into the sanctuary.

Parents of the guests loved how the youth embraced them, singing with them, doing the limbo with them, keeping the balloons up with them during "Marshmallow World," and dancing with them.

Bob shared how one youth, who had a birthday that night, told his mom he wanted to be part of the Holiday Ball. They all sang "Happy Birthday" to him!

The contributions extended beyond the youth group. Sunday School children, guided by Jenny, created adorable paper ornaments that adorned the hall, adding a touch of innocent charm. Wilma's invaluable insight and support were instrumental in making the event a resounding success.

Laughter and music filled the air as guests enjoyed themselves throughout the night. However, the excitement peaked when Santa and Santa's wife (nicknamed Jack and Kelly) captivated everyone with their genuine warmth and jolly spirit, hugging everyone. Guests couldn't get enough of their infectious cheer!

This year's Holiday Ball wasn't just a celebration; it was a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together. It was a night filled with the spirit of giving, community, and the joy of shared experiences. Here's to the next 25 years!
