Oh, the places they'll go! To serve and see, high and low!
Where, oh, where has the youth group GONE? Click this link to follow ALONG! Amaya, Ava, Ben, Danny, and Maddie are traveling FAR. It’s good they are riding by van and not CAR! When surrounded by friends and the gift of SONG, a seven-and-a-half-hour drive is not too long. Wonder what our teens will see along the WAY? Here are some of the places they plan to STRAY:
Our teens shall pull from the depths of their COFFERS to find the best snacks and postcards I-90 OFFERS
Our teens will stop to GAWK and lunch at Mt. GREYLOCK
The sun will be up, so it won’t be too SCARY when our teens tour the headstones of Mt. Hope CEMETERY
On the way back, our teens will answer the CALLS to see the great suffragettes at Seneca FALLS
But what shall our teens do once they ARRIVE? Will they have fun, or just sleep, after such a long DRIVE? They better get rest since the week’s crammed with FUN; there are so many places to serve and so much to be DONE!
Our youth will help food banks and thrift stores for six hours a DAY, sorting and sharing goods given AWAY
If the weather is nice, they will work OUTSIDE, beautifying landscapes and losing the jitters from a long RIDE
Our teens will make the most of the sights come rain, snow, or SUN! By the time they get back, they’ll know Niagara like a native SON:
They’ll follow the railroad that was UNDERGROUND to travel the road of freedom runaways FOUND
They’ll tour the cave where the winds BLOW and stay up late to see a waterfall light SHOW
They’ll twirl and lunch at the Whirlpool state PARK, and explore Goat Island until it grows DARK
They’ll tour a museum to learn how falls are FORMED and explore an old fort whose battlements were STORMED
Finally, they’ll make a brief stop in a town that is YOUNG, where the Paynes’ grandmother has promised good food and FUN
If you want to know more, you have only one TASK: say hi to our youth; they’ll tell you more if you ASK!
Blessings,
Pastor Peter Strobel
