Take Me Out to the Ball Game: A Nostalgic Hit at Rose Court
Last Monday, the halls of Rose Court at Linden Ponds resonated with the voices and instruments of UCC Norwell’s Memory Lane Singers, stirring up memories of crisp evenings spent at Fenway Park, cheering on our beloved Red Sox! As spring blossoms, so does the spirit of baseball in our hearts, prompting us to weave some nostalgic baseball melodies into our program.
Sweet melodies for sweet memories
Residents of Rose Court and our neighboring nursing homes share a deep-seated love for the Red Sox, and what better way to celebrate this passion than through the songs we all know the words to? From the iconic "Take Me Out to the Ball Game,” local favorite “The MTA Song,” also known as “Charlie on the MTA” (takin’ it to Fenway) to the classic "Sweet Caroline," our repertoire transports everyone back to the bleachers of Fenway, reliving cherished moments of our ballpark days!
A touch of theater: Danny Hannafin takes center stage
Adding a personal touch to our performance, Danny Hannafin, renowned for his passion for theatrical arts, graced us with his rendition of "Right Field." With each verse, Danny's emotive delivery captured the essence of longing and nostalgia, resonating deeply with the audience.
