Our 2017-2018 Program Year Classes Begin Sunday, September 24 at 9:00am

Children's Church School
meets Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m.  It is a safe, Christ-centered, and inclusive program that recognizes children learn in many different ways: by doing, by association, through song, art, drama and even through science.

In addition, we hold Children's Chapel on the third* Sunday each month (*check our Church Calendar for possible changes--see the link at the very top of this page) at 10am (after our Church School hour at 9am).  The Chapel is held downstairs in Room 3.

Kindergarten through Grade 5

Children are divided into classes in which the lessons are taught using multi- sensory curriculum. The lessons are hands-on and connect a Biblical theme or story to the everyday experiences of the children. Our focus is on the relationship the children are developing with God through Jesus Christ. Our program mirrors some of ministries in our Church as we focus on mission and the wider world as we serve God in our lives.

During worship, supervised playtime is available for Pre-K children and the Crib Room staff cares for infants and toddlers. Our classes are structured to be developmentally age-appropriate.

Pre-Kindergarten

The curriculum is exciting and hands-on for high-energy children ages 2-5 years old who are not yet in Kindergarten. For many children, this class is their first experience of Church community and the teachings of our faith. The children learn about the Bible and Jesus and his teachings through singing, crafts, storytelling and more. Contact Cathy at cbenedict@uccnorwell.org if you have general questions.
